Every now and then something will happen and it will remind you that life is short. Life is too short. If you want something, do it now. Don't wait until later because there might not be a later.
A few days ago, the Mr. Brianwash Banksy Oscar wall went up on La Brea. I wanted to go take a picture of it but never got around to it. I knew I had to do it soon, because who knows how long it would last in it's untouched condition. Well, tonight, I was taking someone who hadn't seen it to take a look. As we pulled up, we saw two people painting over the piece. Right as I put the car in park, they ran away. One of them doesn't know how to spell.

Think of something that you've been wanting to do. Do it today.
If you like taking pictures, always take your camera with you.
Be nice.

I went to the Patriots game in San Diego yesterday. We hit the road super early and tailgated with Sam Adams Octoberfest, sweet Italian sausages with garlic grilled peppers and onions and bacon cheese burgers. We won tailgating. Then we won the game.
This is what the sky looks like starting the day.
The Naked Gun boobs.
Ladder ball. This was so much fun. Also, I was awesome at it.
This mural has some funny/weird stuff on it.
This guy is how you watch football games.
This is what the sky looks like ending the day.
Patriots 23 Chargers 20. The game shouldn't have been that close but a win is a win.

On Saturday, I went to Sunset Junction for the first time. I had a great time and found out that Sunset Junction's function is being awesome. I saw Big Daddy Kane, Fishbone, Bad Brains and Ghostland Observatory. Here are some pictures.
A beer sign, a cop on a segway and a hipster.
Brian had the best sunglasses.
Big Daddy Kane performed with Connie Price & The Keystones and the absolutely destroyed it. It was my favorite act of the day.
He didn't stop for red lights. He kept going.

Today I saw Goodfellas & Mean Streets at the New Beverly Cinema. Seeing those movies in a theater was awesome but this was extra awesome because Nicholas Pileggi and Paul Sorvino did a Q&A before Goodfellas. Their stories about working with Scorsese, Deniro and Liotta were priceless. They talked about everything Goodfellas including how Pileggi & Scorsese connected to make the film, adapting Wiseguy into Goodfellas, casting real life wiseguys, improving on the set, Scorsese's planning the soundtrack, the dinner in prison scene, how Sorvino prepped for the role, Sorvino's thoughts on acting and so much more. If you're a fan of Goodfellas and haven't read Wiseguy, I highly recommend it. Also, if you haven't seen Mean Streets, I recommend that as well.
Sorvino said a great line about Italian cooks: "If you tell an Italian restauranteur, 'Give me a bad meal or I'll blow your brains out,' the cook says, "Pull the trigger, I can't help you."
"One day some of the kids from the neighborhood carried my mother's groceries all the way home. You know why? It was outta respect."

Threads featuring upside down fitted hats from Hall of Fame and a Nike New York Yankees shirt designed by Futura with the Futura pointman in a Yanks uniform.
Here's Futura talking about his love of baseball and other Nike releases.
And in case you missed it, Futura's Cathedrals of the Game photo collection of baseball ballparks is on a .406 level of greatness.
