On Saturday, I went to Sunset Junction for the first time. I had a great time and found out that Sunset Junction's function is being awesome. I saw Big Daddy Kane, Fishbone, Bad Brains and Ghostland Observatory. Here are some pictures.
Dogs allowed.
A beer sign, a cop on a segway and a hipster.
Brian had the best sunglasses.
Big Daddy Kane performed with Connie Price & The Keystones and the absolutely destroyed it. It was my favorite act of the day.
This is dope. Jay-Z talking about New York, his September 11th benefit concert at Madison Square Garden and how he hooked up with John Mayer through twitter. Also, they blur out Wale.
On Friday night, Corgishoe and I went to the Clippers game to see Kevin Durant.
Durant is one of my favorite non-Celtics players in the NBA and I saw him play against the Celts last year. He was
good then and he's better now. He's maturing and developing...he's
only 21 years old. He's going to be one of the top three players in the
NBA very soon. If he played in a bigger market, you'd be hearing his name
as often as you hear Lebron, Kobe and Wade.
We had great seats.
Look how skinny he is. He's listed at 6-9/230. Just wait until he gets stronger and his body & basketball IQ develop. He might be the youngest player to ever win a scoring title this year. Think about that for a minute.
If I could buy Durant stock, I would already own a ton.
This picture pretty much sums up the Clippers.
And in case you've been living under a rock, in the back of a cave, in the middle of nowhere and haven't seen the Hyperize video, here you go. And if you have seen it, watch it again; you know it's that good.
"Don't Criticize (Hyperize)" - Hyperizers: Velvet Hoop (Kevin Durant), Chief Blocka (Andre Iguodala), Ice-O (Rashard Lewis), Fog Raw (Mo Williams) and DJ Quik
I have this habit of leaving multiple browser windows (with multiple tabs in each) open. There's a ton of cool shit on this internet thing. This is a habit that I'm working to break, so as I close some windows, here are some more great links.
